About the club . . .
Three Rivers Netball Club is based in Braintree. We have called the club Three Rivers after the rivers that run through our district. On the banks of the River Colne nestles the Five Bells Public House at Colne Engaine, who are sponsors of our second team. The River Blackwater, after meandering behind the Braintree College as Pods Brook, becomes the Blackwater as it crosses under the bridge on the road to Halstead at Bocking by the site of St Agnes Convent and then runs around the East of Braintree to Coggeshall and is joined by the River Brain at Witham after it flows under London Road, through Marshall's Park and snakes it's widening way through the golf course at White Notley. So OUR three rivers are the Brain, the Blackwater and the Colne. In our new club we have two teams, both playing in the Chelmsford and District Netball League. We have two squads of 10 players that train regularly at the Discovery Centre, Great Notley. All of our fixtures are played at a central venue, New Hall School, Chelmsford.
